14/52

{Harper} waiting for a friend to arrive. this girl lives for playdates, starting each day with "who are we going to see today Mum?"  Social beyond belief.

{Finn} Post-hair cut. He doesn't enjoy the whole hairdressing experience and frets that his curls won't grow back. I tell him I can't make absolute guarantees, but I am 99% sure that the curls will return.

The B-sides (because two photos seems a little minimalist for me…)
{our easter .....even though that holiday weekend seems like a lifetime ago}
{want to make an egg hunt fair? divide the eggs out then pop each child's initial letter on them. kids only collect eggs with their letter on them. it worked and the added bonus was that they worked together to help find each others eggs. }
{just before the egg hunt began finn was very concerned about the rules for the hunt. ""But mummy what are the rules? please tell me about the rules"}
{in a state of shock that she was allowed to eat chocolate straight after breakfast. live it up honey, it only comes around once a year!}
{park adventures}
{walking to the local shop with a friend}

Documenting Delight: Day ninety nine {easter sunday}

A simple Easter Sunday with my little family. Call us mean (oh, go on!) but Lachie and I made the decision to ease back on the chocolate this year. Not so much Finn, but sugar makes our little wild child, a bit more wild. So this year we gave them a new cup each, with three little eggs in them. They seemed chuffed with this, although Finn was utterly confused by his cup that read ‘early bird’. We reassured him it was apt.

{Early bird? Who me? }

{Just chillin' with my hot cross bun and banana}

Documenting Delight: Day ninety eight

We stopped over in Wollongong last night, after our day in Sydney yesterday. This morning this mumma was in need of a hefty dose of caffeine so I took the kids for a walk to the Plaza. As we were waiting for my coffee Finn noticed that a team of ladies were setting up a petting zoo outside the shops. Is there anything greater than unexpected and free toddler entertainment? I don’t think so. Finn gripped the gate of the petting zoo, calling out to the animals (Piggy, can you say ‘Oink’?) and alerting the petty zoo workers when the food and water for the animals was running low.

Meanwhile our other animal lover wasn’t so keen. Harper kept calling out “up, up” and snuggling in tight to her Daddy once she was picked up. It was then that we noticed our baby girl was unwell.

Documenting Delight: Day ninety seven {good friday}

A beautiful lunch was held at Lachie’s sister and brother in law's house in Sydney for Good Friday. It was jam packed day; Easter egg hunt for the kids, cousins at play, a beyond delicious fish meal, a belated birthday celebration for Finn and a family coming together in a time of sadness.
