{Harper} Can you show me a surprised face Harper?

{Finn} He tells a good story. Excessive hand gestures are always involved.
The B-sides (because two photos seems a little minimalist for me)

{alphabet letter hunt}
{a hair cut he requested, then half way through decided he didn't want anymore. there were tears, there was reassurance and then the de-curling continued.}
{Me "You look so different!"
Finn: "What, am I not Finn anymore?"}

Documenting Delight: day two hundred and ninety four {superb bedhair}

I think I am going to have to put this set down as my favourite of Harper so far this year. Her hair in the morning is a perfect reflection of how she sleeps in the evening; constant movement, tossing, turning, spinning and basically lying all over Lachie and I.

These photographs show Harper as I know her best: wild, cheeky and completely lovable.

Documenting Delight: day two hundred and forty eight {cutting the curls}

….well not cutting off the curls, more like taming them.
Strict instructions were given by Finn prior to his hair appointment:

They can’t cut off all my curly whirlies.

Not all of them mate but some (like the ones that are almost down to your shoulders) have to go.
That boy loves his curls.

{he didn't take his eyes off those scissors}

Documenting delight: day one hundred and fifty eight {she feels their pain}

{"oh poor baby audrey. she's sick"}

Sidenote:
Harper’s first plait.....which may in fact look like rats tail. But I’m still calling it a plait.

Another sidenote: Today I completed my first guest post over at Living, Loving, Laughing. A little photo essay of Master Eli playing in our playroom. Pop over and have a squiz.

Documenting Delight: Day ninety five {daddy + daughter love}

This morning in Harper’s room:
Me: Harper let’s get you dressed for the day!
H: NO! Daddy do it!
Me: That’s fine. How about Daddy gets you dressed and I do your hair afterwards?
H: No, daddy do that too.
The shift has begun. A Daddy’s girl in the making......

Documenting Delight: Day ninety three

I know, I have photographed Finn’s curls in detail before. I just couldn’t help myself. That curl making a perfect circle smack bam in the middle of his head, well, it was just screaming to be captured.
That's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it.
