Documenting Delight: day three hundred and ten {springtime equals school fete time}

You can’t drive past a major road in Canberra without seeing an abundance of signs advertising the upcoming School Fetes. Spring has really hit when the fete season begins. Today Harper and I headed out to a Fete a few suburbs away (Finn didn’t want to come, preferring to stay at home with his Dad to tend to our veggie patch.)

One of the first things we came across was a fire truck with a team of firefighters assisting kids to have a go at holding a fire hose. Eeek, Finn you really should be here was my first thought. Harper had a go, completing the task with a serious face. I think she knew this is something Finn would have enjoyed, evident by her telling the firefighter “Bim Bim (Finn) loves firemen!”  Sweet sister, thinking of her big brother.
